Frequently Asked Questions
Question: So you’re telling me that I need to purchase a bunch of iPhones?
Answer: No. You should only be hiring people that already have iPhones.
Having an iPhone as a requirement filters the applicants that apply. I’ve had multiple people thank me for giving them a reason to buy an iPhone.

The app looks great, does it have it’s own database program or does it work with the one we already have?
Can you use the i-touch or does it need to be the i-phone?
Tom
Tom,
Thanks for the comment. The program runs on it’s own robust web application. Our web application has many features that other process serving software companies offer and many that they don’t. The iPhone application can be downloaded to the iTouch but, the iTouch lacks the GPS device that would allow the application to work as intended. Hiring process servers with iPhones is the most effective method.
How long have you been testing you iphone app?
How many papers do you serve with it on a monthly basis?
John,
Thanks for the comment. We have been working on the iPhone application for approximately 10 months. We currently serve 800-1500 papers a month using the iPhone application.
What about Android users?
A droid application is in the works. Also, Verizon should be picking up the iPhone next month. If you would like I can set up a demo for you to see the product.
You dont have an application that works with Blackberry?
CivilMap has no plans on a Blackberry application.
Thanks Pamela

have to get bonded(100k) and does the owner need to be fingerprinted by the DCA if they are giving work to there servers in the city who are already bonded (independent contractors) and compliant with the DCA?
Below is the response from the DCA
If a company is a process serving agency located outside of New York City which distributes process to individual process servers for service within New York City, it must be licensed by the Department of Consumer Affairs and comply with the requirements of the process server licensing law and rules.
